Sterile Processing Technician - Travel - (Strl Proc Tech)

Summary: Reporting to the Sterile Processing Supervisor/Manager, the SPT 2 is responsbile for the proper distribution, decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments, supplies, and equipment. Also responsible for mantaining inventories, ensuring proper charges to patients/depts, and customer service. This position may also be supervised by a senior Sterile Processing staff or shift lead. This position may also be expected to mentor or supervise less experienced Sterile Processing staff.

Required Qualifications

BLS Shift: 1st - (8 hour) 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. experience in materials management CRCST or CRT national or international certification Required: high school graduate or equivalent/at least 3 yrs of clinical experience in sterile processing or central service/demonstrated knowledge and capability to act as service coordinator or shift lead or capable of working proficiently and independently in all satellites of SPD (WSS, DSC, SPD,)/demonstrated understanding of all systems involved in sterile processing, central service and materials management including demonstrated proficiency with current electronic MM ordering processes, practices, templates/certificate of completion of an accredited sterile processing/central service program

Preferred Qualifications

experience in materials management/CRCST or CRT national or international certification. 6 months experience as shift leader or service coordinator.
