Job Description & Requirements

Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - Travel - (NICU RN)

CHOC's 54-bed NICU offers critical care for newborns suffering from respiratory, circulatory and cardiac problems. Designed with these tiny patients in mind, the unit provides multi-patient rooms, single care rooms, and an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) unit. CHOC’s ECMO unit is one of only 72 in the United States. For parents preparing to take their baby home, the NICU offers an overnight stay room which is used to simulate the home experience, but with nurses available to provide assistance. At the forefront of neonatal care, this NICU is the first in the region to offer the Olympic Cool-Cap System to prevent or reduce the severity of neurological injury associated with damage to the brain or spinal cord as a result of inadequate oxygen.
