Job Description & Requirements

Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Develops and Implements clinical Protocols, Policies, and standards of care for inpatient and outpatient surgical services, post-anesthesia care, and central sterile departments. Assigns and monitors department staffing in accordance with service needs and operational guidelines. Supervises activities of surgical, post-anesthesia, and central sterile hospital staff, including selection, evaluation, training, scheduling, and corrective interventions. Prepares Annual operating and capital budgets for assigned departments and takes necessary action to meet financial and operational goals Acts as a liaison with hospital surgeons and anesthesiologists, including coordinating physician needs with department staff. Assisting with scrubbing and circulation in surgery as required and needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelors degree from accredited school of nursing preferred. Current CA RN license, Current ACLS, BLS, CNOR certifications. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in surgical services Working knowledge of operating room scrubbing and circulation for commonly performed surgical procedures as well as post-anesthesia recovery procedures

1. Current CA RN License (#/expiration) 2. ACLS, BLS, CNOR 3. 5 years of supervisory experience in surgical services 4. PALS, NRP
