American Mobile Healthcare
If the Big Sky Country is calling your name, the team at American Mobile will help you answer the call. As a travel nurse in Montana, you’ll find plenty to enjoy—from the amazing beauty of Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, with pristine mountain air and crystal clear lakes, to the emerging music and food scene in towns like Billings, Missoula and Butte.
The first step to this four-season paradise will be to get your Montana nursing license.
Whether you already hold a multistate nursing license with the Nurse Licensure Compact or need to get your Montana RN license by endorsement, our licensing experts can help make your travel nursing dreams a reality.
Montana participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), also called the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), which allows RNs or LPNs to have one multistate nursing license. If you hold a multistate license in a compact state, issued by your primary state of residency, you can practice in any of the other compact member states—including Montana.
There are now more than 30 states that participate in the NLC. You can verify whether you hold a multistate license or single state license at www.Nursys.com. If you hold a multistate nursing license, you may work travel nursing jobs in Montana without applying for a new license.
Registered nurses who do not have an NLC multistate license but hold a current nursing license in another state or U.S. territory can apply for licensure by credentialing, also known as licensure by endorsement, through the Montana Board of Nursing. First time licensees would apply for licensure by examination.
Applicants for a Montana nursing license by endorsement must submit:
The licensing team at American Mobile is available to answer any questions and help you through the state licensure process, ensuring a quick turnaround for your Montana RN license.
The renewal period for nursing licenses occurs every other year. Nurses originally licensed in odd numbered years should continue to renew their license by December 31st of odd numbered years. “Even” licensees can apply for their Montana nursing license renewal by December 31st of even numbered years. Applicants must pay the renewal fee of $100 and complete 24 contact hours of continuing education every two years, due by the time of license renewal.
The travel nursing experts at American Mobile can find your ideal assignments, walk you through the Montana RN licensing process, and reimburse your licensing fees.
