Job Description & Requirements:

Travel Clinical Nurse Manager - (CNM)

Primary responsibility for the operational, clinical and educational functions of clinical staff in the assigned area. The Manager will supervise all clinical staff and plan programs that facilitate the development of staff. While maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities, the Manager will function independently. The Manager will collaborate with the physician leadership and clinical staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Ambulatory Care Services area. Responsible for maintaining skills of the staff. The Manager will ensure that all policies/procedures are age and/or developmentally appropriate. The Manager will function as a change agent. The Manager will demonstrate commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Develops and recommends operating and capital budget for area or responsibility using principles of cost benefit analysis indecision-making. Monitors expenditures on a monthly basis; prepares variance reports with appropriate justification. Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of system changes as necessary to facilitate the growth and development of the work area staff. Assures that staffing is appropriate and based on patient acuity, skill mix and the Children’s Care Continuum model. Anticipates changes in patient acuity and census and adjusts systems to maintain clinical and financial goals. In collaboration with physicians, directs, initiates and/or participates in the development and review of policies, procedures, patient care protocols and standards of practice. Establishes or provides education on new or revised policies, procedures and/or standards of practice. Collaborates with members of the multidisciplinary team to maintain continuity of patient care. Directs and facilitates the work team in system changes to enhance patient care and/or the work environment. In collaboration with physicians, directs, initiates and/or participates in the development and review of policies, procedures, patient care protocols and standards of practice. Establishes or provides education on new or revised policies, procedures and/or standards of practice. Collaborates with members of the multidisciplinary team to maintain continuity of patient care. Directs and facilitates the work team in system changes to enhance patient care and/or the work environment.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse California Licensure 2+ years of recent pediatric experience required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience preferred. Previous fiscal management experience preferred.
