Rehabilitation Nurse - Travel - (Rehab RN)
Vidant Medical Center is the only rehabilitation center in eastern NC with specialty units for Stroke Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Brain Injury, Neuro and Spinal Cord Injury. Vidant Medical Center also has 6 CARF accredited programs. Programs and equipment include Lokomat, ZeroG Harness, Bioness, and Biodex.
Candidate will be utilized in one of three units-
Rehab Medicine Unit - 25 Bed Unit
Primary population: Includes but not limited to orthopedics, amputations, cardiac, respiratory, debility, trauma, and stroke. Specialized care for adults and geriatrics. 1000 admissions/year, Average LOS: 15 days RN Ratio 1:6
Rehab Neuroscience Unit – 19 Bed Unit
Primary population: Includes but not limited to Traumatic brain injuries, Non Traumatic brain injuries, Sub-dural hematomas, Stroke, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Body and head trauma, Fall, Brain Tumors, Encephalitis, Drug related problems. 164 admissions/year
Average LOS: 18 days RN Ratio 1:4/6
Rehab SCI – 10 Bed Unit
Primary Population: Includes but not limited to Spinal cord injuries and diseases, Diving injuries, Amputation, Quadriplegics, Paraplegics, Stroke, Motor vehicle accidents, body trauma, skin integrity compromised patients. 196 admissions/year
Average LOS: 18 days RN Ratio 1:4
Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold or RN licensure in a compact state. Current BLS required.
