From the shores of Plymouth Rock where the crew from the Mayflower first landed and the legends of Salem witchcraft, to the big city life found in Boston--Massachusetts is a state full of history, mystery and adventure.
Founded in 1780, Massachusetts is not only one of the older states in the Union, but it is also the most populous state in the New England region of the northeastern United States. Travel nurses looking to take an assignment in “The Bay State” will find there are plenty of opportunities here, with several major hospitals and medical centers. In fact, seven Massachusetts hospitals made Newsweek's 2019 list of the world's best hospitals.
With a combination of city living and quaint towns, Massachusetts has something for every type of travel nurse out there. If you are ready to explore travel nursing opportunities in Massachusetts, the first step is to obtain your Massachusetts nursing license.
American Mobile can guide you through the licensing process, providing assistance and expertise all along the way. In addition to our knowledge, in some cases, we can even reimburse you for the costs associated with your licensing fees.
The first step in your journey to a Massachusetts nursing license starts with a visit to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Here, you will find all of the information needed to apply for a license or get a mass board of nursing license renewal if you have already been licensed in this state.
New nurses must apply for a license by exam. If you are licensed as an RN in another state, you must apply for a Massachusetts nursing license by reciprocity. Regardless of which way you are applying, you will need to have several key items ready to go:
