Job Description & Requirements

Intensive Care Nurse - ICU Nurse - Travel - (ICU RN)

This 8-bed unit has a clinical focus on assessment, monitoring and treatment of patients with significant cardio-vascular disease. Patients in the CCU require continuous assessment and monitoring of their ECG, hemodynamic status, circulatory/perfusion status and responses to vasoactive medication and treatments. ACS level 1 &2, acutely decompensated heart failure, cardiomyopathy, post cardio-pulmonary arrest, cardiogenic shock, IABP counter pulsation therapy and hemodynamically unstable dysrhythmias are common diagnosis among CCU admissions. Clinically induced hypothermia treatment (to preserve cardiac and brain tissue viability, reduce tissue oxygen consumption) post cardio-pulmonary arrest and post Acute MI is a treatment often rendered in the CCU. It is not uncommon to have a patient in the CCU who requires care and monitoring while on vasoactive medications, on mechanical ventilation, and IABP counter pulsation therapy.

1. NY RN license 2 years Experience BSN .BLS ACLS PALS BSN
