Tia Schlangen

"I have had the pleasure of working with Tia over this past year as her recruiter. During my time working with Tia, her passion and dedication with nursing and her day to day became evident to me when she was recognized on not one but two separate occasions. Tia's first recognition came during a 14 day assignment in the Med Surge unit. During this time, her patient stated that "I had so much fun with Tia, and when you are working at a 14 - day visit fun is exactly what you need. I also saw her helping co-workers whenever they asked!" This statement from the patient showed me how much passion Tia has with her nursing. The second recognition Tia received came from another patient. The patient described how prompt, dedicated, and organized Tia was with handling any and every task she was given. As Tia's recruiter I feel that it is a must that she gets nominated for this award. Tia exemplifies what it means to be a valued member of our AMN family. It is clear to me that nursing is not just a job to Tia but a passion for her. Her continued optimistic attitude has been contagious, not only to myself but also to her patients."
