"Dear Megan,

You were the nurse who was so wonderful to our friend when she was with you in the ICU. Your whole team was so great but I remember your kindness in allowing us to stay with [her] after she heard the devastating news that she had stage 4 cancer. You went above and beyond as you made phone calls so that we could be allowed to stay with her.

She passed only a few days later 4/7/19. How glad we were for any moment we could spent with her. We saw your kindness as you took care of her and were so attentive to her needs.

You carry a great gift of comfort, peace and competency and I am sure all your patients are blessed by your presence
Thank you so much for your beautiful gift of care.

Our hearts hurt and we miss [her] terribly but we also know that she was ready to go and meet her friends and the people she had touched who have gone to heaven before her and of course her heavenly Father.

We spent time Tuesday at her celebration of life remembering the many wonderful things she did and said and how she loved people so well.

Thanks again to you and all the staff in the ICU who looked after our friend.
