  Steps to travel nursing:

  Apply
Everything starts when you apply. Filling out an online application and skills checklist is quick and easy, and gives us the basic information we need to get the ball rolling. Completing an application does not obligate you to travel, but it does open the door to many choices and rewarding opportunities.

  Chat with a recruiter
Once your application is accepted, you will be assigned a personal recruiter. You and your recruiter will work together to find the assignments that meet your personal and professional goals.

  Select an assignment
Depending on where you want to travel and the type of facility where you want to work, you and your recruiter will narrow your search to a select number of facilities. Together you will discuss the advantages of each assignment, evaluate pay, review the facilities' requirements and pinpoint the assignment that's the best fit for you. Most facilities will prefer travel nurses to have at least 18 months to two years of recent experience working in an acute-care setting.

  Telephone interview with a facility
The next step is a telephone interview with the facility you selected. Usually the nurse manager or director of the department will conduct the interview. This is a great opportunity for you to get a feel for your potential new work environment. Your recruiter will help you prepare for the interview by giving you tips and guidance to help you land the job.

  Accept the assignment
Congratulations, you've got the assignment! Now American Mobile Healthcare will help you with your credentialing requirements and licensing. Free, quality accommodations will be pre-arranged by our housing department, including furniture delivery and utility setup. You will also receive information on your enrollment in our top-rate benefits programs.

  You're on your way!
Pack your bags, hit the road and get set for a world of new adventures, friendships and career-enhancing opportunities. American Mobile Healthcare will be with you every step of the way. We'll provide you with maps and driving directions to your destination and we'll help you take care of all the little details to make your transition to the world of travel nursing as seamless as possible.
